Now, this system is only to be used with songs in public domain or out-of-copyright protection. So it won’t work with every single song out there. When searching for MIDI files, be sure to use a site that has secured permission from the creators, publishers and authors to host a midi version of the original song in order to avoid legal trouble. In fact, that’s the one drawback with this system, many midi files are poor quality, or illegally hosted, and freepianomusic.org DOES NOT recommend using those.
However, you can still find many sites which have paid their royalty dues and allow you to purchase midi files, or even download them for FREE, allowing this system to work.
