Oasis were an English rock-band formed in Manchester in 1991. Developed from an early on group known as the Rainwater , the band initially consisted of Liam Gallagher (vocals and tambourine), PaulBonehead; Arthurs (guitar), PaulGuigsy; McGuigan (bass guitar) and Tony McCarroll (drums, percussion). They were afterwards joined by Liam’s older brother Noel Gallagher (lead guitar and singing) as a fifth member.
Oasis signed to independent record label Generation Records in 1993 and launched their report-setting debut album Definitely Maybe (1994).
