Norah Jones is an American singer songwriter, recording artist, and performer. She is the daughter of sitar virtuoso Ravi Shankar and Sue Jones. She is Anoushka Shankar ‘s half sister. After her parents’ separation in 1986, Jones invested her youth together with her mom in Grapevine , Tx She attended Colleyville Middle-School and Grapevine High-School before transferring to Booker T. Washington High-School for the Executing and Visual Arts in Dallas During hs, Jones sang in the college choir, participated in group and performed the alto saxophone. In the period of sixteen, with her parents’ permission, she formally changed her title to Norah Jones.
