John Lennon

John Lennon was an English musician, vocalist and song writer who rose to world-wide recognition as a founder member of the Beatles , the most commercially productive group in the annals of well-known music. With Paul McCartney , he shaped a song-writing partnership that’s among the most famous of the 1900s.

Produced and raised in Liverpool , as an adolescent Lennon became concerned in the skiffle trend ; his first group, the Quarrymen , developed into the Beatles in 1960. When the team disbanded in 1970, Lennon embarked on a solo job that created the critically acclaimed records John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band and Imagine , and iconic tunes including Give Peace a Possibility and Working-Class Hero. After his relationship to Yoko Ono in 1969, he switched his title to John Ono Lennon. Lennon disengaged himself in the music company in 1975 to increase his baby son Sean , but reemerged with Ono in 1980 with the brand new record Double Fantasy He was killed three months after its release.

Lennon came to be in wartime England, on 9 Oct 1940 at Liverpool Maternity Hospital to Julia (ne Stanley) and Alfred Lennon , a merchant seaman of Irish ancestry, who was away in the time of his son’s arrival. His parents named him John Winston Lennon after his paternal grandfather, JohnJack; Lennon, then-Prime Minister Winston Churchill His dad was frequently from house but sent routine pay cheques to 9Newcastle Street, Liverpool, where Lennon lived along with his mom, but the cheques quit when he went absent without leave in February 1944.
