The Goo Goo Dolls are an American rock-band formed in 1986 in Buffalo, Ny , by guitarist and vocalist John Rzeznik , bass player and vocalist Robby Takac and drummer George Tutuska Mike Malinin was the group’s drummer from 1994 until December 2013. Although well-known for their commercially successful 1998 single Iris, they have had several other prominent and popular singles including Name from 1995’s A Boy Named Goo , Broadway, Black Balloon and Slide from 1998’s Dizzy Up The Woman , an album which made five effective singles, and Here Is Gone, Sympathy and Large Machine from 2002’s Gutterflower The Goo Goo Dolls experienced 14 top-ten singles on different graphs, and have offered over 10 million records global.

In Oct 2012, Iris was rated #1 on Billboard’sBest 100 Pop Tunes 1992-2012; graph, which likewise featured Goo Goo Dolls hits Slide, position at number 9, and Title at #2 4. The group’s first lineup contained John Rzeznik (guitar, singing), Robby Takac (bass, vocals) and George Tutuska (drums, percussion). Initially, Rzeznik would perhaps not sing, as a result of his shyness. Takac and Tutuska had been longtime pals in college and fulfilled Rzeznik while he was enjoying in the group The Beaumonts with Takac’s cousin, Paul Takac.
